‘Can you see me’ made in 2024 as part of ‘Can you see me installation’ NCAD Ceadworks. This video is created to provoke thought by exploring the hypocrisy and contradictions of a country whose health care system and homeless record is at its worse yet described by our leader of the time Leo Varadakar ‘as the envy of Europe’ becuase of its surplus to the economy. Further highlighting the desparation of people whose lives have been reduced to doorways and hotel rooms while the most privileged make more money. This video includes the voice of Leo Varadakar . It features the voice of Paul Murphy T.D. recorded by Margaret at an anti-racism rally held outside Rua Red in 2024. It also features a recording of the orginal morse code from 1916 where the rebels signalling the start of the Easter Rising.
Behind the Blue Curtain is the story of the artists experience post op in the Womens hospital in Dublin 2023. Margaret was put in a ward to recover after an operation with one women who was soon to give birth, all was peaceful until another pregnant women arrived, who was extremely mentally compromised . This art movie is an expression of the distress she caused to the other vulnerable women who suffered in silence and fear behind their blue bed curtains as she spoke loudly all night on her phone and complained aggresively at any little sound anyone else made. Even the miraclulous gentle sound of the heartbeat of another girls unborn baby .
